Nothing Special 12/14/10

Nothing specific to write about this time, but a few cool things have happened.
School is over for the semester.  YAY! We both have commented to each other numerous times how much we appreciate having our evenings to ourselves again.  No constant nag of reading or papers or tests to study for.  No getting home at 9:30 after a long day at work.  It’s been wonderful.  Michelle is now setting her sights on applying for nursing school.  She has to apply between April 1 and June 1.  She is also researching various scholarships and loans she might apply for in order to help pay for her schooling over the next year. Brett is looking for a Spring semester class to take that will fulfill his prerequisites.  Brett has decided to pursue an Associates in Electronics and Advanced Technologies and is taking pre-req’s.
We’ve had a couple doggies get sick.  JD had a seizure a few weeks ago and has had a hard time recovering.  We saw it happen and it was pretty sad.  However, in the last week she has gotten back to her chipper old self, so we’re glad she seems to have put that behind her.  We don't like how skinny she's gotten, so we've started a misison to fatten her up with canned food and plenty of treats.  JD is loving it. Ben had a major allergy outbreak which resulted in skin infections, ear infections and eye infections.  Poor guy.  He’s on medication and his skin is recovering well.
Right now we are preparing for our Christmas adventure which begins this coming Friday, Dec. 17.  Friday, we drive to Wendy and Ray’s (Brett’s mom and step-dad’s) place in Tyler.  Saturday we fly to Michigan out of Dallas.  We spend Saturday-Thursday in Michigan with the whole family (even Bryce and Kathryn and the kiddos!). Thursday we fly back to Texas and spend Thursday-Sunday in Tyler with Wendy and Ray.  We come home Sunday.  We are both excited for Friday to come.  It’s going to be wonderful to see everyone.
Well, that's it.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful December!  Here are some cute pictures of the last few weeks.
